The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2001 with the vision of developing the department as a centre of excellence in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering and to impart technical skills with meritorious knowledge to the student community.

To be one of the leading Electronics and Communication Engineering departments in the state and to be known for research, creation of knowledge base, education, industry interaction and entrepreneurial activity.

The department has a highly committed faculty with diversified areas of specialization. The Electronics and Communication Engineering Department has always been interested not only in updating the curriculum, but also in enhancing the laboratory facilities to cope up with the new developments in the state-of art technologies.

Course Opportunities

The undergraduates from this department have become professional engineers, employed both in core and software companies. They are well represented at core companies such as ISRO, Honeywell, Wipro, and Ambro and also placed in abroad start-up companies. They have become successful Engineers and Managers in the leading software companies. Many of our students pursue higher education. Also, some of the undergraduates are working in Public sector units such as BSNL, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Ltd, DRDO, ISRO, BHEL and BEL as graduate trainee with stiffened.

To improve Teaching Learning Process:

  • The department consistently organizes seven short term programme like certificate course on embedded systems hands on sessions in MATLAB etc.., project exhibition for students, National level technical symposiums and one intra college technical symposium.
  • The department has organized two days workshop on "Optical Communication and Networks”.

Co-curricular Activities:

  • Both Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate students are encouraged to carry out their project in resent research fields across various areas of Electronics and Communication.
  • As part of the curriculum they also publish their work in National and International Conferences and Journals.
  • Many of our faculties have presented and published their papers in National and International Conferences and Journals.
