The Programms conducted by Department of Master of Business Administration

  • The Department of Management Studies, M.I.E.T. Engineering College, Trichy organized and conducted Special Lecture for MBA Students on 24th October 2016. Chief Guest Dr.N.Thamaraiselvan, Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, has delivered the speech on “Branding Strategies”. He spoke about the 7 Components for a Comprehensive Branding Strategy including the Purpose, Consistency, Emotion, Flexibility, Employee Involvement, Loyalty and Competitive Awareness in the current competitive global business environment. Totally 120 students from MBA department participated and got benefited through this program. Initially Ms.Mahalakshmi, final year MBA student welcomed the gathering. Mr.P.Aranganathan, HOD Department of MBA introduced the Chief Guest and Mr.Sagayaraj, final year MBA Student, proposed the vote of thanks.   • The Inter-class Business Quiz competition for juniors and seniors was organized and conducted by the Department of Management Studies (MBA) ,MIET Engineering College, on 07-10-2016 Wednesday. A total number of six teams comprising of two members each participated in the contest at the junior and senior categories. Totally four rounds such as current affairs, audio visual, connecting the picture, slogan identification, CEO identification and Log Identification rounds of great speeches were organized and conducted. The winner and runner teams got honoured with momento. Also the best audiences were motivated with trophies. This programme was conducted with the motive to induce the business knowledge updation among the budding managers.
  • MBA Department organizes One Days Entrepreneurship Orientation Program Sponsored by NSIC Technical Service Centre, The National Small Industries Corporation Limited, Chennai (A Govt. of India Enterprise) held on 4th October 2016 (Tuesday).

  • Management students visited Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited and TVS Motor Company on 4th & 5th of August, 2016. The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about how various activities related to marketing, financing, Logistics, Operations, Production and human resource are carried out in company and give them feel of managers as soon as they start there course.

  • The Department of Management Studies, M.I.E.T.Engineering College, Trichy organized and conducted a One day “HR MEET 2016-17” on 31-08-2016 in our college premises.

    Ms.Swarnalatha Mouli, Head HR & Location Lead- People Connect, HCL Technologies, Chennai, was the Chief Guest and delivered the key note address. In her speech she emphasized about the gap between the industries anticipation and student’s desire and she also emphasized that the only way to fill in this gap can be done only by developing the Skill of the students. Then she gave some important skills required for the students to meet the industries expectations. 1. Develop core competencies, 2.Handle & Manage Relationship, 3.   • The department of management studies, M.I.E.T. Engineering College, Trichy organized and conducted two days orientation programme for freshers from 01-08-2016 to 02-08-2016 in our college premises.

    In this occasion our Chairman Er.A.Mohamed Yunus delivered the presidential address and inaugurated the two days orientation programme .Our Principal Dr.S.Guharaja delivered the special address. In their speech they briefed about the importance of Management Studies and their contribution for organizations development. They asked the students to make use of the programme and their valuable information to update their knowledge and seek a successful career.

    Professor G. Balakrishnan, former Vice Principal , St. Joseph’s College, Trichy and Professor K Balasubramanian, CEO Creative Management Consultancy, Trichy, were the Chief Guest and delivered the key note address.

    Professor G. Balakrishnan, former vice principal , St. Joseph’s College, Trichy, in his speech emphasized about the skills required to “FACE THE FUTURE”. Further he spoke about current competitive world, communication is most important for getting success in student’s life, and he has given few tips to improve the communication skill by reducing the fear, reading news papers and continuous learning. Further he conducted stress interview through which he explained the corporate expectations.

    Professor K Balasubramanian, CEO Creative Management Consultancy, Trichy, delivered the second day orientation programme speech. In his speech he highlighted the Importance of the Management Studies and it’s contribution for business development in the current scenario. Then he spoke about SUCCESS FORMULA for achieving the goal. Further he has given tips for achieve it. 1. Think Big 2. Think Fast 3. Act fast 4. Achieve fast 5. Grab the opportunities before others could smell that there is an opportunity. These are the skills which are very essential and it will be very helpful for getting a good position in the career.

  • The Department of Management Studies, M.I.E.T. Engineering College, trichy Organized & Conducted a Corporate Meet on 17.02.2016 in our College Premises.

    In this occasion our Chairman Er.A.Mohamed Yunus delivered the presidential address. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of automobile sector in our country’s growth. Our Principal Dr.S.Guharaja delivered the special address, where he mentioned about the foreign investments in automobile sector and the employment opportunities among the students community.

    Chief Guest, Mr. M. Sivakumar, General Manager (OPERATIONS), Rane TRW Private Limited, Trichy inaugurated the Corporate Meet and delivered the keynote address. In his speech, he stressed about the gap between the campus and the corporate and guided the students to eliminate the gap in the require skills. He also strongly mentioned about the leadership, ownership, soft skill, positive traits, responsiveness, team building along with fundamental structure knowledge as the important key skills required for getting prospective employment in MNC’s.

    Initially Mr.P.Aranganathan, Head of the Department , Department of management Studies Welcomes the gathering & Mr.M.Kathiravan Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies introduced the chief guest and finally Mr.K.Sitheshwaran, Head of the Department, Department of training and placement proposed the vote of thanks. Mr.R. Kingsley Assistant Professor, Mr.Mohammed Jassim, Assistant Professor, Mrs.SathyaPriya, Assistant Professor, Department of management Studies coordinated and made the arrangements for the corporate meet.

  • The Department of Management Studies, M.I.E.T. Engineering College, trichy Organised & Conducted a One Day Workshop on Global Talent Search on 16.02.2016 in our College Premises.

    In In this occasion our Chairman Er.A.Mohamed Yunus M.I.E.T. Educational Institutions preside over the function and delivered the Presidential Address . In his speech, he advised the students to concentrate on international careers that may provide the opportunity to improve their employment skill at international levels. Principal, Dr.S.Guharaja delivered the special address where he stressed the importance of continuous updation in their relevant field of interest for getting the international employment.

    Chief Guest, Ms.Dharini Srinivasan, Associate CIPD, UK (Former HR Officer, ILO, Geneva) inaugurated the workshop and delivered the keynote address. In her speech she raised the question about the Quality Education among the students. She also stressed that the education imparted should provide employability skills in par with the international level. She also spoke about the necessary skills such as Integrity, transparency, quality orientation, sensitivity to diversity, communication, client orientation, and collaboration; take responsibilities for performance & orientation to change, orientation to learning and knowledge sharing, etc that are essential for the global employment.

    Initially Mr.P.Aranganathan, Head of the Department, Department of management Studies introduced & honoured the chief guest. Ms.Ajeesa First year Student of MBA Welcomed the gathering & Mr.Dinesh Kumar First year MBA proposed the Vote of Thanks. Mr.M.Kathiravan, Assistant Professor, Mr.R.Kingsley, Assistant Professor, Mr.Mohammed Jassim Assistant Professor, Mrs.SathyaPriya, Assistant Professor, Department of management Studies coordinated and made the arrangements for the workshop.

  • A Personality Development Programme on the topic "Shaping your Personality for Corporate Fit" on 25th November, 2015 (Wednesday) in the college seminar hall at 10.00 am by the Department of Management Studies(MBA). Chief Guest: Dr. Victor Lazarus,Professor, Department of Management Studies, Bishop Heber College, Trichy.

  • "HR Meet 2015-16" on 23rd November, 2015(Monday) in the college seminar hall at 10.00 am by the Department of Management Studies(MBA).Chief Guest: Mr. P.Saravana Praveen Kumar, Senior HR, Hewlett Packard Enterprise(HP), Chennai.

  • The Department of Management Studies of M.I.E.T engineering college, Trichy organized and conducted a one day workshop on “Communication Skill for Business” on 04.11.2015 in our college premises.

    In this occasion our Chairman Er.A.Mohamed Yunus, our Vice Chairman Dr.M.Y.Abdul Jaleel and our Principal Dr.S.Guharaja felicitated the gathering. In their speech they emphasized the importance of communication for Management Students and how they struggle to learn English in their olden days. Finally they asked the students to make use of the workshop to develop their soft skills and this kind of motivational and inspirational program will increase the confident of the students.

    Mr.A.Xavier Amalados, Director, Mejel & Mejel, Skills Development centre, Perambalur, (Former Director of Studies, Fulham & Chelsea College, London) was the chief guest and he delivered the inaugural and keynote address. He also conducted the workshop on “Communication Skills for Business“ He gave a clear idea about the importance of communication and how English as a language place a vital role in this globalized world. He emphasized the essence of developing communication skills in this current scenario. He gave many tips to improve the communication skills in English. He underlined that acquiring a language is purely out of interest and efforts one puts in.

    Mr.P.Aranganathan, Head, Department of Management Studies honored and introduced the chief guest. Mr.Rajesh and Miss.Bharathi, MBA students delivered the welcome address and vote of thanks.

  • Two Days Entrepreneurship Orientation Program Sponsored by NSIC Technical Service Centre, The National Small Industries Corporation Limited, Chennai (A Govt. of India Enterprise) held on 8th & 9th September 2015 (Tuesday & Wednesday).



  • MIET Engineering College Department of Management Studies has organized One day Special Lecture programme on 27.08.2015 at our College premises.

    Er.A.Mohammed Yunus, Chairman, MIET Institution has felicitated the function and Dr.M.Y.Abdul Jaleel, Vice Chairman, MIET Engineering College has delivered the special address to the students. Dr.S.Guharaja, Principal, MIET Engineering College has honoured the Chief Guest and delivered the special address.

    Mrs.N.Vidhya, Training Manager, UAE Exchange and Financial Services Limited, Tamilnadu region has delivered a special lecture on "Key to Success - Daily Mantra". In her speech, she emphasized about 10 most important Mantras to be followed and practised by the budding managers for getting success in thier career.

    The programme started with the welcome address delivered by Ms.V.Chellapriya, 2nd year MBA and ended with the vote of thanks by Ms.Rakila Begam, 1st Year MBA.

  • Conducted a Admission Programme on "TANCET Coaching" by Special Faculty Team, for all final year UG Students of Aiman College, Trichy on 10-04-2015.

  • Conducted a special seminar on “Interview skills” by Dr.B.Balamurugan, Coordinator Department of Management Studies, for all final year UG students (250) of H.H. The Rajah’s Government Arts and science College, Pudukkottai on 05.02.2015.

  • Conducted a special seminar on “Interview skills” by Dr.B.Balamurugan, Coordinator Department of Management studies, for all final year UG students (400) of Raja Sarfogi Government Arts and Science College, Tanjore on 04.02.2015.
